Leigh Muñoz, second bassoonist at SoNA, performs Valsa Improvisada by Francisco Mignone. Mignone was known as the king of the waltz, and Valsa Improvisada is part of a collection of 16 Waltzes that showcase the freeness of the Brazilian waltz, untethered by the strictness of European waltzes in 3/4 time.
