Program:

Romero, Fuga con pajarillo

Mozart, Clarinet Concerto

Trevor Stewart, SoNA principal clarinet

Beethoven, Symphony No. 3

“Beethoven himself might be 300 years old, but his 3rd Symphony is about as fresh, bracing, and powerful as the first day of spring. This is one of my absolute favorites, and I can’t wait for all of us to be enveloped in its colorful sound world. … I’m excited to share the stage with Trevor Stewart, our fantastic principal clarinetist, for Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto. … And I can’t wait to conduct Romero’s Fuga con pajarillo for you – it’s a real treat and an undiscovered gem.” — SoNA Music Director Paul Haas

This concert will be preceded by Creative Conversations with Music Director Paul Haas and Principal Clarinetist and Guest Soloist Trevor Stewart from 6:30-7pm in Baum-Walker Hall. Join us before the concert to hear insights into the evening’s program and exclusive details on the inspirations and lives of the artists who make the music come to life.
