Celestial Visions: Symphonie Fantastique

Saturday, September 20, 2025 – 7:30PM
Walton Arts Center, Fayetteville

Program:

Missy Mazzoli – Sinfonia (for Orbiting Spheres)

Johannes Brahms – Variations on a Theme by Haydn

Hector Berlioz – Symphonie Fantastique

Lawrence Loh, Guest Conductor

“I envision this concert to be an imaginative trip through space and time. The program is centered around Berlioz’s hallucinatory masterpiece, Symphonie Fantastique. This revolutionary symphony depicts a fever dream with everything from love, loss, opium, a scaffold, and a midnight scene that devolves into madness! I can’t wait to return to SoNA, and share this wonderful music with you!”
