SoNA Stands In Solidarity With Trans Arkansans

Northwest Arkansas is a diverse and vibrant region that aims to be an inclusive and welcoming place to live and visit for all. SoNA strives to match and further that narrative; we want to be an inclusive organization that creates programs and spaces where everyone feels seen, respected, and safe.

Any effort or message that sends strong signals that LGBTQ+ people may not be welcome in Arkansas directly affects our ability to recruit and retain the best artistic talent, and more importantly, does not reflect who we are.

To members in our orchestra, our audiences, and our community, especially the trans community, who feel targeted and hurt by recent legislation and events: You are welcome here. We value you. We want your voices in our organization and in our community.
